Korie Steede made history this weekend by capturing her first-ever GNCC WXC National Championship title at the 2025 Ironman GNCC, marking a defining moment in her off-road career. After a consistent and dominant season, the Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing rider delivered a stellar performance in the final round, claiming the race win and securing the overall crown.
Steede grabbed the early lead and maintained her rhythm throughout the challenging Ironman course. Despite pressure from her rivals, she showed incredible composure and speed to seal the deal on the final lap — a victory that not only crowns her season’s efforts but also establishes her as one of the rising stars in women’s off-road racing. Just 1.7 seconds behind the winner, Brandy Richards of FMF KTM Factory Racing Lander pushed Steede all the way to the finish. Richards briefly took the lead on the final lap but couldn’t hold off Steede’s late charge, ultimately finishing second after a thrilling head-to-head battle.
Meanwhile, Rachael Archer (Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green) claimed third after running in podium position for most of the race. The New Zealander gave her all in pursuit of a fourth consecutive title but had to settle for second overall in the 2025 WXC Championship, closing another highly consistent season. Danielle McDonald (AmPro Yamaha Racing) overcame a tough start to finish fourth in Bibione. Despite missing the early part of the season due to injury, the Australian delivered strong results in her first full U.S. campaign, earning fourth overall in the championship standings.
In fifth place, Shelby Turner (GasGas) wrapped up the season with another solid ride. The Canadian rider consistently performed at the front throughout the year, collecting multiple podiums and confirming her status among the top WXC competitors. Further down the leaderboard, Addison Harris edged out Carly Lee for sixth in the race, though Lee finished higher in the overall championship standings. Ellie Winland completed her season with an eighth-place finish at the Ironman round.
In the Girls Super Mini (12–16) class, Jayden Shea took an impressive win in the final race but could not stop Sahara Robinson from securing the overall championship title. The pair dominated their category all season, frequently trading victories, while Paisley Bland earned second in the finale and completed the championship podium.
The 2025 GNCC Championship concluded with high drama, showcasing close battles, rising talents, and the continued growth of women’s off-road racing. With her breakthrough victory, Korie Steede not only writes her name into GNCC history but also sets the stage for an exciting 2026 season ahead.
