As you may have seen in a previous article, Infront Moto Racing has just unveiled the provisional calendar for the FIM Women's Motocross World Championship (WMX). There will be six rounds on the program. While this remains too short for a championship of this level, where riders need more rounds to correct mistakes or gain more visibility with sponsors, there are some positives in this calendar. I'll explain why, and we'll take a closer look at the different events.
Great Britain will host the opening round of the WMX World Championship on May 9th and 10th at a circuit that has yet to be announced. Indeed, Materley Basin will not be able to host this event. The last time the women's riders attended was in 2020. Lucy Barker, the best British representative in the championship, will be riding in front of her home crowd for the first time.
