The Czech Motocross Championship came to a close this weekend with its final round in Jirin, delivering drama, intense battles, and a new national champion.

Joela Freudenthaler confirmed her strong form by taking a second consecutive overall victory. In the first moto, the Austrian battled hard with Sarah Schnelzer, ultimately finishing less than a second behind the KTM rider. In the second race, however, she left no doubt, pulling away to win by a considerable margin. Her results secured third place in the championship standings.

Podium for Tomisková and Zimmermanová

Kristyna Tomisková returned to the podium with a consistent performance, finishing third in both motos to take second place overall. Vanessa Zimmermanová completed the day’s podium, her first of the season. Despite a mistake in the opening race, the Slovak rider rebounded with a strong second moto to cap her season on a high note.

Simonová secures the title

Lucie Simonová finished fourth in both races, enough to secure the Czech Championship title. Before the last race she had one-point deficit to the new series leader, the experienced Czech rider held her nerve, riding consistently to cross the finish line with another crown added to her career achievements.

Heartbreak for Schnelzer

Sarah Schnelzer experienced both triumph and disappointment over the weekend. The Austrian delivered a superb opening race, taking victory and moving into the championship lead by one point. In the decisive second moto, she made a strong start but suffered a crash. With a hand injury preventing her from continuing, she was forced to retire, ending the season as championship runner-up.

Barbora Lanková finished sixth overall, just one point ahead of Viktorie Lohniská. Nina Klimčiková and Sára Mikotová followed closely behind. Nikola Sládková completed the top ten in this final round.
