This weekend marked the sixth and final round of the Italian Motocross Championship at the Pietramurata circuit, closing the season with high intensity and strong performances.

Fontanesi remains undefeated

Already crowned champion, Kiara Fontanesi was determined to celebrate her title by finishing the season unbeaten. The GasGas rider did just that. In the opening race, she got off to a strong start, took the lead, and held on despite heavy pressure from Gelissen. In the second race, the six-time WMX World Champion wasted no time, seizing control after only a few corners and pulling away to build a significant gap.

With these results, Fontanesi ends her Italian Championship campaign with six wins, adding to her three victories and a runner-up finish in the WMX World Championship.

Gelissen confirms her status, Montini secures third place

Danée Gelissen’s goal was to defend her second place in the championship and challenge Fontanesi for a race win. The Dutch rider pushed hard in the first race but never managed to close the gap. In the second race, after a weaker start, she still secured a strong runner-up result and confirmed her second place overall in the standings.

Giorgia Montini completed both the weekend and the championship podium. The Honda rider fought hard in the opening laps of both motos but could not match Gelissen’s pace. Her consistency, however, earned her a well-deserved third overall.

U19 Battles: Cepelaková wins and Polato takes the title

Aneta Cepelaková delivered a remarkable weekend, finishing fourth overall and taking victory in the U19 category. The Czech rider showed speed from the very first practice sessions and also claimed fourth in the final championship standings.

Cecilia Polato completed the top 5, her best result of the season. The GasGas rider also sealed the U19 title thanks to her consistency throughout the year. She finished ahead of her closest rival, Emanuella Talucci. The Yamaha rider impressed with a strong first race and a holeshot in the second, but costly mistakes left her unable to capitalize. It has been a challenging season for the young Italian talent. Lora Tamas produced an outstanding ride to secure seventh place, her best result in the Italian Championship.

Strong performances in U17

The Pardi Racing Team rider finished ahead of Alessia Di Luccia, who claimed the U17 title. The Husqvarna rider has put together a consistent, top-level season, promising exciting things for the future.

This weekend also saw the debut of Ana Kolnookov, the Serbian prospect from the Pardi Racing Team. Despite a mistake in the first race, she showcased her potential, finishing ninth overall and second in the U17 classification. Giorgia Giudici rounded out the top ten in this final round.
