The fifth round of the 2025 Italian Women’s Motocross Championship took place this weekend in Castellarano, where Kiara Fontanesi delivered a dominant performance to claim her ninth national title.

The GasGas rider opened the weekend by setting the fastest qualifying time—more than five seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Despite the intense heat, Fontanesi remained unchallenged across both motos, winning with significant margins to secure the overall victory and the 2025 Italian title. Danée Gelissen (2-3) finished second overall. The De Baets MX rider had a solid first moto, holding second place from start to finish. In moto two, she recovered quickly after a slower start to claim third and now remains second in the championship standings heading into the final round. Giorgia Montini (4-2) completed the overall podium. The 6sixmotorsport rider suffered a poor start in race one but recovered to finish fourth. A much stronger start in race two allowed her to secure second place, though she now faces an uphill battle for the vice-champion title.

Clarissa Tognaccini (5-4) showed remarkable resilience after a heavy qualifying crash sent her to the hospital Saturday night. Despite racing with shoulder pain, the Megan Racing rider finished fourth overall with two consistent motos. Emanuela Maria Talucci (3-8) returned to form with a strong third place in race one. A crash on the first lap of moto two disrupted her momentum, but she managed a strong comeback. The Yamaha rider also took the win in the U19 category, keeping her in contention for the title. Aneta Cepelakova (10-5) placed sixth overall and second in the U19 class. The 2024 Czech champion struggled to find pace in moto one but showed better speed in the second, running close to Tognaccini’s times.

Giorgia Giudici (9-6) took seventh overall after two solid rides, particularly in the second moto. She finished ahead of Priska Busatto (7-10), who impressed in qualifying but was hampered by a mechanical issue in race two. Cecilia Polato (8-9) completed the U19 podium with consistent points on a track she admitted not enjoying, maintaining her category lead before the final round. Desire Agosti (13-7) rounded out the top 10 with a solid second race after climbing back through the pack in moto one. Gaia Franchi, who had finished sixth in the first race, was unfortunately disqualified from moto two for parking the second bike in the signaling area.

The final round of the 2025 Italian Women’s Motocross Championship is scheduled for the end of September in Arco di Trento, where the remaining titles will be decided.
