Round four of the 2025 French Women’s Motocross Championship (MXF) took place this Sunday in Plomion, with Amandine Verstappen delivering a flawless performance. The Belgian rider went 1-1 on the day and extended her lead in the championship standings.
Verstappen (Team New Bike Yamaha) took the holeshot in the opening moto and managed to resist pressure from April Franzoni. In the second race, she took control early on and steadily pulled away from the field. Her teammate Jessie Joineau finished second overall (4-2), recovering from a mistake in moto one to a second place behind Verstappen in the second race.
April Franzoni completed the podium with a 2-4 score. After battling Verstappen in race one, a crash at the start of moto two hindered her chances, but she remounted and fought back to secure valuable points. Despite losing ground in the standings, she avoided injury after being hit during the incident.
Virginie Germond was fourth overall with two consistent third-place finishes. Racing on the Stark, the Swiss rider delivered strong starts and remains in the fight for a podium finish in the championship. Lisa Guerber (5-6) secured fifth place after two solid rides, showing good form following her recent GP appearance in Germany.
Lea Chaput (7-5) finished sixth, just one point behind Guerber, with a particularly strong second moto. Lysa Raoux (6-9) placed seventh, limited by a few small mistakes in the second race despite showing good speed. Britt Van Muylem (9-7), Team JPR, continues her steady progress, finishing eighth overall and breaking into the top 10 in the championship.
Lena Marques (8-8), Team JS Racing, took ninth after an up-and-down day that included a strong start in race one and a crash-affected second moto. Louna Masset (11-11) riding for CRT Team, rounded out the top 10 and took the win in the 125cc class, extending her lead in that category. Callie Huffling and Skarla Azile completed the 125cc podium.
The French MXF Championship resumes this weekend in Chaulieu for round five, with Verstappen looking to further solidify her position at the top of the standings.
